Storm on the Pacific

Here at the allotted time,
things fall apart,
endings hove into view,
and all is in accord.

The solitude
endless waiting
frantic action
and constant preparation

the time spent
time lost
worry
perfection

the wasted years
tears and joy
concern and prognostication
mental masturbation.

Here lies joy,
here lies companionship,
comradery,
love,
companionship

and at the end of the day,
at the end of days,
or the beginning of the end,
is peace.
